How to Downgrade Your World to an Older Version
There are many reasons why you might want to revert to a previous version of Minecraft with your current world. Whatever that reason may be, we can show you how it’s done with this guide!
🛑Warning: Minecraft is not backwards compatible. Downgrading versions is not recommended and may break things. Proceed with caution!
Preparations
Create a backup.
In-game, remove all items from inventory.
In-game, travel to a distant location in a biome that exists in the older version.
Using the One-Click Installer
Note: Be sure that your Minecraft server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!
Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.
Click the Panel button for your Minecraft server.
Locate and click One-Click Installer in the menu on the left side.
Click on the Change Version button.
On the right side, select the version you want to install from the drop-down menu.
Click the Archive option for the installation method.
Click the Install button.
Moving Your Files
Click on the Server Files section of your panel on the left side.
Locate the oldfiles folder in the main directory and double click to open it.
Double click on the time-stamped archive folder.
Select your world folder.
Click on the Copy button.
Select the Main Folder from the menu that pops up and copy it there.
Conclusion
You have now successfully downgraded your world! Keep in mind that items, mobs, or biomes that didn’t exist in the old version will disappear and that chunk corruption is common.
