How to Enable/Disable Minecraft Offline Mode
This article will walk you through the steps to switching your Minecraft serverโs online mode setting. Putting your server in offline mode will bypass Mojangโs authentication servers when players join. This is necessary in some configurations, such as BungeeCord, but can pose some security concerns if done incorrectly. On its own, players who do not have a legitimate Minecraft account will be able to join with your server in offline mode.
Note: Be sure that your Minecraft server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!
