Banning and Unbanning Players on your Palworld Server

This guide will cover how to ban players from your Palworld server, as well as how to unban them!

Become an Admin

First things first, you’ll want to become an Admin for your server, we have a guide on how to do that here: https://nodecraft.com/support/games/palworld/how-to-become-an-admin-of-your-palworld-server

Finding a Player’s SteamID

Next, you’ll need to know the player’s SteamID, you’ll want to make use of the Show Players command, which shows information on all connected players. Press the Enter key and type:

/ShowPlayers

Banning Players

When you want to ban a player, the command is:

/BanPlayer {SteamID}

Example: /BanPlayer 1234567

Kicking Players

If you need to just kick a player from the server, the command is:

/KickPlayer {SteamID}

Example: /KickPlayer 1234567

Unbanning Players

As of the initial launch of Palworld's Early Access on January 19th, 2024, there is no unban command.

However, you can unban a player by editing a file directly in the “File Manager” tab of the Panel. The file is located in the /Pal/Saved/SaveGames folder and you’ll see the /banlist.txt file.

Make sure the Server is offline, then select the file, click the Edit button, and then you can delete the SteamID of the player you wish to unban.
