How To Become An Admin Of Your Palworld Server
Giving yourself Admin powers is a simple process for Palworld dedicated servers, and this article will show you how to do that!
Set Your Admin Password
There are two ways for you to add a password for your server, directly within our control panel Nodepanel, and by editing the server's config files.
Nodepanel
You'll want to first go to your "Game Settings" tab on the left-hand side of the Panel, then click on the "Advanced" tab on the upper right-hand side.
This is where you can find the "Admin Password" text box field.
Weâve already provided you with a randomly generated password that you can copy and use but you can change it at your leisure.
Just be sure to "Save" your changes.
Editing Files
If you don't have a server with us at Nodecraft, or just prefer to edit the files directly, this is the section you'll want to look at.
The first thing youâll do is set the Admin Password for your server in the PalWorldSettings.ini
file. You can find this file in the âFile Managerâ tab in the /Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer
folders.
This is the primary config file for your server. As of the initial launch of Palworld's Early Access on January 19th, 2024, all settings are squashed together as in the screenshot below.
Near the end of the file, youâll see the AdminPassword=
setting, this is where you can set your chosen password, in between the quotation marks.
Weâve already provided you with a randomly generated password that you can copy and use but you can change it at your leisure.
Once youâve made your changes, be sure to Save
, and then Start up the server.
Authorize Yourself In-Game
The next step is youâll want to join your server.
Once youâre in-game, youâll open up the chat box (ENTER
) and type: /AdminPassword yourchosenpassword
If you enter it correctly, youâll get a confirmation, and youâre all set to use Admin Commands!
