How to Add Server Tags to Your RedM Server

Tags are a simple yet powerful way to make your RedM server stand out in the server list. They give potential players an instant idea of what your server is all about, such as roleplay, or freeroam. The right tags help connect your server with the players looking for that exact experience, so choosing them carefully is key. This guide will show you how to add and manage tags!

Adding Tags Through the Control Panel

Note: Be sure that your RedM server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!

  1. Log in to your Nodecraft Control Panel.

  2. Navigate to the Game Settings section on the left-hand side of the panel.

  3. Click on the Server Listing tab.

  4. Scroll down to the Tags section near the bottom of the page. This is where you can add keywords that describe your server. The area to add tags on the Game Settings page.

  5. click the Add (+) button to create a new tag field.

  6. Type a word or phrase that fits your server's gameplay style or theme. For instance, if your server focuses on PvP, you wouldn't want to include the roleplay tag, unless it’s also a specific feature of your server! Here are a couple of examples:

    • Roleplay for a roleplay-focused server.

    • Freeroam for an open-world exploration server.

  7. Click Submit to save your changes.

  8. Start your server.

Tag Tips

  • Stay Relevant: Only use tags that genuinely describe your server. Misleading tags may frustrate some players and prevent others from trying your server.

  • Use Popular Tags: Consider including tags like "roleplay," "freeroam," or "PvP," as they are widely searched by players.

  • Update Regularly: If your server's theme or content changes, don’t forget to update your tags to reflect the new focus.

  • Limit Overuse: Avoid overloading your tags. Aim for 3-5 relevant tags to keep your server listing clean and clear.

Conclusion

Your RedM server is now dressed to impress with the perfect tags and ready to turn heads on the server list! A few simple words can make a big difference in attracting the right players, so have fun with it and keep things fresh. Now sit back, let the players roll in, and enjoy the game!
