Giving yourself Admin powers is a simple process for Renown dedicated servers, and this article will show you how to do that!

Set Your Admin Password

There are two ways for you to add a password for your server: directly within our server control panel and by editing the server's config files.

Nodecraft Server Control Panel

  1. Login to your Nodecraft Dashboard

  2. Click on Panel with the gear icon located in the bottom right of your Renown server.

  3. Go to your Game Settings tab on the left-hand side of the control panel.

  4. Enter the password you want in the Admin Password field.

  5. Just be sure to Save your changes.

Editing Files

If you don't have a server with us at Nodecraft, or just prefer to edit the files directly, this is the section you'll want to look at.

  1. Login to your Nodecraft Dashboard

  2. Click on Panel with the gear icon located in the bottom right of your [GAME] server.

  3. Go to File Manager/Files in the left-hand side of the control panel.

  4. Navigate to the game.ini in /Renown_Combat/Saved/Config/LinuxServer.

  5. Set the Admin Password for your server in the AdminPassword setting.

  6. Save, and then Start the server.

Using Admin in Game

If you don't have a server with us at Nodecraft, or just prefer to edit the files directly, this is the section you'll want to look at.

  1. Join your Renown server in game.

  2. Press escape to open the settings menu.

  3. Click on Gameplay.

  4. Navigate down to Show Admin Settings and turn it on.

  5. Now that Administration is showing in the left menu, click on it.
