The Satisfactory 1.1 Update Has Arrived!

Satisfactory’s long-awaited 1.1 update is finally here, and it’s a big one. This update brings some of the most requested features to life, along with a mountain of quality-of-life improvements, fixes, and (of course) new toys to play with.

If you've been waiting for smoother builds, better travel, and cleaner factories, this update is worth your time! And if you're looking for Satisfactory server hosting, you're in the right spot.

Full Controller Support Has Arrived

Satisfactory can now be played with a controller, including Xbox and DualSense options. This also means the Steam Deck experience just got a lot better since it will now default to controller mode automatically. All you need to do is plug in, head to the settings, and switch over. It’s simple, and it does work super well!

Photo Mode Got a Major Glow-Up

Photo Mode didn’t just get a polish in this update. It’s basically brand new. There’s a revamped UI, a bunch of new filters, pose options, lens settings, camera decoupling, and even dolly mode for creating cinematic shots. You can hide your Pioneer, change aspect ratios, and fine-tune color settings. Talk about letting us show off our factories in style.

Crash Sites Can Finally Be Cleaned Up

That wreckage you've been building around for years? You can now dismantle it (Internal cheering). Once you've retrieved the Hard Drive inside a Crash Site, you're free to clean up the rest and claim a few extra resources in the process.

Vertical Travel Just Got Easier

The new Personnel Elevator is here to help you navigate tall factories. After placing one, you can stack Floor Stops to create a multi-level lift system. You can even name your floors, assign colors and icons, and keep everything clearly labeled.

Smarter Building Tools and QOL Fixes

Did we mention that this update is also packed with small improvements? Let's not skip over those:

  • Straight and curved pipe modes are now available, just like conveyors.

  • Conveyor lifts now support splitters and mergers directly.

  • Conveyor Throughput Monitors let you check flow rates at a glance.

  • The new Priority Merger gives you control over output order with three priority levels.

  • Nudging is now vertical and unlimited, so you can place things more precisely than ever.

  • You can also hide the HUD while driving vehicles.

Hypertubes Get a Boost

Hypertube Junctions and Branches give you more control over factory navigation. With junctions, you can switch routes on the fly by pressing a button as you travel. Branches let you connect new segments to your existing system without rebuilding everything from scratch.

Trains and Railways Get Reworked

Trains now derail if they hit the end of a track while being manually driven. To avoid that, you’ll need to add Buffer Stops. On the bright side, laying down railways is smoother than ever thanks to new build improvements.

Logistics Just Got Prettier

Conveyor Wall Holes let belts pass through any wall or window, giving you more freedom with your designs. You’ll also notice that blueprints, when toggled on, try to auto-connect pipes, conveyors, and rails when placed, which helps everything snap into place more easily.

New Factory Decor Is Live

Check the AWESOME Shop for new architectural pieces. There are fresh beams like the H-Beam, Shelf Beam, and even decorative braided cables. You'll also find new shelves, fans, roll-up gates, and road barriers to give your base more personality.

Visual and Audio Polish Across the Board

Trees now fall with satisfying animation. Explosions look better. Gas pillars, spores, and power slugs all have improved visuals. On the audio side, factory and ambient sounds now adjust depending on whether you’re indoors, outside, or in tight spaces. You’ll also hear more ADA voice lines scattered throughout the game.

More Game Options, Better Server Tools

Advanced Game Settings now include a no-fuel option, which makes driving vehicles a lot easier in creative-style play. Server hosts, like us here at Nodecraft, have new backend goodies to help ensure your servers run with perfection... even if our Satisfactory factories are a mess.

And Yes, Bugs Got Squashed Too

A ton of fixes from the experimental branch are now included in 1.1. If you’ve experienced save file slowdown or laggy multiplayer, this update should definitely make a difference for you!

Conclusion

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to log back in, this is it. Satisfactory Update 1.1 gives you new ways to build, move, snap photos, and break things...... totally on purpose, of course. It’s a great time to get messy, get organized, or both!
