FoxyNoTail, a veteran in the Minecraft content creation scene, has enchanted audiences with his whimsical and immersive Minecraft gameplay. With a distinct charm and engaging personality, Foxy brings a unique touch to the world of gaming content.
We were excited to get the chance to speak with Foxy, and get a look into his story, creative processes, and more!
So where did your gamertag come from?
I created FoxyNoTail because it had a similar rhythm to StampyLongNose… My son and I really enjoyed Stampy’s videos. We’d end up sitting in the car quite a lot just watching them.

Wow, that is really cool reasoning, I would have never thought of that. How long have you been creating content?
Almost 10 years, around the time my son was turning 8.
Very cool! What made you want to become a content creator in the first place?
I wanted to have a better connection with my son and I had video production experience. I thought, “hey, I can do that.”
And hey, you did! So, is there a game you're really looking forward to coming out?
"GTA VI… I cannot wait. The entire reason I bought my Xbox 360 was to play through GTA five. I played the first GTA when it came out like it was going out of fashion.”
Oh nice, what was the very first game you ever played, then?
Rick Dangerous from a Spectrum Tape Loader.
And the best console from your childhood?
Playstation - I would pour hours into Gran Turismo
What about your most memorable gaming experience?
It was probably backflipping while dual wielding pistols, fighting a t-rex in the original Tomb Raider
That is badass, lol. So we know you've spent a ton of time in Minecraft-- What's your most played game outside of Minecraft?
My eldest son and I started putting a lot of hours into ARK Survival Evolved.
Gotta love some dinosaur time. What are your favorite franchises?
GTA, Assassin's Creed, Tomb Raider
We've covered games that have significance to you for various reasons, but the big question is: Out of all of it? What is your very favorite game?
Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
"For me, it's not the fact that it's open world and all games are open world these days. It's that every hill you go over every path you walk down within seconds, there's something that you've not seen before."
It really does, and that piano score is killer, too. But what do you enjoy outside of gaming?
Making music, cinema/video production
"I've always had a background in video production, audio production... my uncle has a recording studio at his house that I used to do work for him."
And finally: Not to spring this on you, but we have a controversial question. Does pineapple belong on pizza?
Absolutely- Pineapple on pizza adds a nice bit of freshness.
