How to OP Players on Your Hytale Server

Need a little more control on your Hytale server? Adding Admin or OP status gives you access to powerful commands and management tools, which is especially handy for server owners, builders, or your trusted friends. The steps below show you how to OP yourself or another player!

1. Open your Dashboard

2. Locate your Hytale server and click on the Panel button. 

3. Once on your panel click on the Console tab on the left-hand sidebar

4. In the console type op add <player username> to add the specified player to the Admin/OP list.

You have now added yourself or another player as an Admin/OP on your server. If successful you or the player added should receive a message in-game that says You have been made an operator. 

To remove OP from a player, you can follow the same process with the command: op remove <player username>

Conclusion

Once the command goes through, that’s it. You or the player you selected now has OP access and can start using admin commands right away. Just remember that OP permissions come with a lot of power, so it’s best to only grant them to people you trust.

If you ever need to remove OP status later, the same process applies with the opposite command. Until then, enjoy having full control over your Hytale server.
