How to Install Pixelmon using the CurseForge App

CurseForge is one of the most popular launchers for managing Minecraft mods, and it's a great choice for installing Pixelmon. It offers an easy-to-use interface, automatic modpack handling, and direct access to thousands of curated modpacks, including Pixelmon. This guide will walk you through the full installation process using the CurseForge app.

Setting Up the Launcher

1. Download and install the CurseForge launcher. You can find this here: https://www.curseforge.com/download/app 

2. Once installed, open the CurseForge app and either log in with a CurseForge account, or continue as a guest.

3. If this is your first time using the CurseForge app, click the plus icon on the left side and choose Add Minecraft (Java Edition). This will walk you through setting up CurseForge to install and manage Minecraft mods.

   

4. When it’s done, click Browse Modpacks to open the list of modpacks available for install.

5. Enter The Pixelmon Mod in the Search box in the upper left, then hit Enter to search through the different modpacks. This is the modpack you’re looking for:

   

6. Click Install and CurseForge will begin downloading and installing the necessary files.

7. Click My Modpacks at the top. This will list the different modpacks you have installed and let you launch them.

8. Mouse over The Pixelmon Modpack and click Play. CurseForge will open Minecraft with Pixelmon installed, as well as a few extra visual mods.
