How Do I Share my Nodecraft Lite Server?
Sharing your Nodecraft Lite Server with friends is easy and secure, thanks to the built-in Share Link feature. This guide will explain how to set up and use the Share Link so you can invite others to turn on and join your server without giving them access to sensitive settings.
What is a Share Link?
The Share Link is a unique, secure URL that allows others to remotely start your Nodecraft Lite Server. It functions similarly to a Discord invite link and ensures you can give your friends access to start the server when you are away.
How to Locate Your Share Link
To generate your Share Link, follow the steps below from your server’s Dashboard.
Navigate to the Share Settings option on the left-hand side of your server's Pro Panel.
From this page, you can copy, regenerate, disable, or visit your Share Link. You can also view the Share Password required to start the server via the link.
Setting a Password for Your Share Link
For added security, Nodecraft Lite Servers default to requiring a password to turn the server on using the Share Link. While a password is randomly generated by default, you can turn it off or customize it for ease of use.
Navigate to the Share Settings option on the left-hand side of your servers Pro Panel.
In the Share Password section, enter your desired password into the provided field.
Save your changes.
The Share Link will now require the password you set.
Tips for Sharing Your Server
Share Responsibly: Only share the link and password with trusted friends to keep your server secure.
Monitor Access: Keep an eye on who has access and consider changing the password periodically if needed.
