We're heralding in the first week of school for many American students, with our last weekly update for the summer. In today's update we've added Arma 3 server hosting to the games you can swap between and a long requested feature: Private Dedicated Servers. We'll have another update for everyone in about a month as we get closer to reaching our goal of 25 games by the end of the year. We plan to spend a little more time re-enforcing the server management for our currently supported games.
Arma 3
Prepare yourself to experience true combat this week in the massive military sandbox Arma 3. Arma 3 is an open-world, realism-based military tactical shooter now available for deployment within NodePanel as Early Access.
Private Dedicated Servers
Do you run a gaming community, a subscriber only server, or want to create multiple game servers at once? If that's you, we've been working on a cost effective solution that puts you in control of how many game servers your running and how many resources you want to give them. You'll have an entire dedicated server to run as many game servers are you want!
We've launched this feature to a few selected Nodecraft Partners in a limited Alpha test. We'll open up the closed beta for this in a few weeks for interested customers. If you want to be considered for this, please chat with us and let us know!
Private dedicated servers offer you access to a pool of 16/32GB of RAM which you can split up and assign into how ever many instances you see fit. This could be 4 8GB instances, or a mixture of 3GB, 512MB, 1.5GB instances. This flexibility will allow players with large communities or servers access to dedicated resources for their servers, and the ability to split RAM between instances at ease.
What's next at Nodecraft?
We've been really focused on bringing more games to the Nodecraft platform. The next few updates to Nodepanel will be quality of life improvements to make it easier and faster to create your own server, for any game on our platform. Our primary plan is to bring as many games out of our "Early Access" status as possible.
What is Early Access at Nodecraft? We label games as Early Access when we've launched support for the game in NodePanel, but we haven't added any extra controls to manage the game properly. This often includes configs, mods, players, and map management.
