How to Turn Off PVP on your Minecraft Server

PVP can add a layer of fun and offer more challenges to your Minecraft experience. It’s especially useful for combat tournaments and survival-type servers. We understand that sometimes, you just want to hang out and chill with your friends without any PVP enabled. We’ll show you how to turn it off in this guide.

Note: Be sure that your Minecraft server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!

Using the Control Panel

  1. Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.

  2. Click the Panel button for your Minecraft server.

  3. Locate and click Game Settings in the menu on the left side.

  4. Click on the Gamemode tab.

  5. Scroll down and toggle the Allow PVP button to the grayed-out setting.

  6. Click the Submit button to save.

Using the server.properties File

  1. Click the Server Files on the left side.

  2. Locate the server.properties file in the main folder.

  3. Either double click on the file or tick the box and click the Edit button.
