How to Disable Building Destruction for The Forest
To disable building destruction for The Forest at Nodecraft, you'll need to edit the server’s config file. Here’s how you can do it:
Nodecraft Pro
If you don’t have access to Nodecraft’s Control Panel, please skip ahead to the Editing Manually section.
Game Settings
Click the Game Settings tab on the left-hand side, locate the Allow Building Destruction
setting, and click it to disable it.
Save and Restart the Server
After making your changes, ensure that you click the Save button, and then Restart your server for the changes to apply.
Editing Manually
Locate the Server Configuration Files
Go to the Server Files tab in Nodecraft Pro on the left-hand side, and locate the server.cfg
file in the Main Folder.
If your server isn’t with us here at Nodecraft, and on Windows, this file is typically in the C:\\Users\\YourUsername\\AppData\\LocalLow\\SKS\\TheForestDedicatedServer
.
Edit the server.cfg
File
Select the server.cfg
file and click the Edit button.
You’ll want to look for the following setting:
AllowBuildingDestruction
By default, this is set to on
, to disable building destruction, change it to:
AllowBuildingDestruction off
Save and Restart the Server
Save your changes, and then Restart your server so that they apply.
Verify the Changes
Once the server is restarted, building destruction should be disabled, meaning structures built by players will no longer be destroyed by enemies or environmental factors.
